In this role, you will accurately code medical procedures, process insurance claims, and help ensure timely reimbursement. Duties: Assign accurate medical diagnosis and procedure codes using coding guidelines
Prepare, review, and submit insurance claims for reimbursement
Verify patient insurance information and benefits eligibility
Review medical documentation for completeness and coding accuracy
Follow up on denied or unpaid claims and resolve billing discrepancies
Maintain confidential patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
Assist with payment posting, reporting, and other medical office administrative tasks
