The Coder is responsible for coding inpatient and outpatient medical records according to ICD-10-CM and CPT in keeping with AHA coding guidelines. Codes are assigned to all diagnostic and procedural statements as documented in each patient's medical record to determine the most accurate and optimal MS-DRG assignment.
