Medical Biller/Coding SpecialistWe are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Biller/Coding Specialist to join our team. As a Medical Biller, you will be responsible for accurately preparing and submitting medical claims to insurance companies and ensuring timely reimbursement. Your attention to detail and knowledge of medical billing codes and procedures will contribute to the smooth operation of our healthcare facility.Responsibilities:Reviewing patient information and medical records to accurately code diagnoses and proceduresPreparing and submitting medical claims to insurance companiesVerifying insurance eligibility and coverage for patientsFollowing up on unpaid claims and denials, and appealing when necessaryResolving billing discrepancies and answering patient inquiries regarding their billsKeeping up-to-date with changes in medical billing codes and regulationsMaintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelinesRequirements:High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in healthcare administration or related field is a plusProven experience as a Medical Biller or in a similar roleIn-depth knowledge of medical billing codes (CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS) and insurance guidelinesFamiliarity with medical terminology and proceduresStrong attention to detail and accuracyExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsProficiency in using medical billing software and electronic health records (EHR) systemsAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a team environmentKnowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy lawsWe offer competitive compensation and benefits packages.
