Contract Length: 3 Months (Strong Extension Potential)
We are seeking experienced HCC Risk Adjustment Medical Coders to support a large-scale Medicare risk adjustment initiative. This is a fully remote opportunity for coders with strong Medicare HCC experience who thrive in production-based environments and can consistently deliver high-quality coding while meeting productivity expectations.
This project has already demonstrated substantial demand for skilled HCC coders and is expected to continue beyond the initial engagement. The ideal candidate will have experience reviewing medical records, identifying and capturing HCC conditions, applying ICD-10 coding guidelines, and maintaining compliance with Medicare risk adjustment standards.
What You'll Do
• Perform accurate HCC risk adjustment coding for Medicare populations
• Review medical records and assign ICD-10 diagnosis codes in accordance with risk adjustment guidelines
• Identify and capture appropriate HCC conditions based on clinical documentation
• Ensure coding accuracy and compliance with Medicare risk adjustment requirements
• Meet established quality standards and productivity expectations
• Review documentation to identify coding opportunities and documentation gaps
• Collaborate with coding leadership and quality teams when necessary
• Maintain coding compliance while working in a high-volume production environment
• Complete assigned charts within established turnaround times
• Consistently maintain productivity goals of approximately 2 charts per hour
What We're Looking For
• Medicare HCC coding experience (Required)
• ICD-10 coding experience
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Risk Adjustment Coder
• Active CCS or CPC certification through AHIMA or AAPC
• Strong understanding of Medicare risk adjustment guidelines
• Strong attention to detail and coding accuracy
• Ability to meet quality and productivity goals in a remote environment
Preferred Qualifications
• Medicaid coding experience
• Experience supporting large-scale risk adjustment projects
• Experience working in remote production-based coding environments

Compensation
$20 - $24 Per Hour
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
