Job Title: Temp Billing Coder
Location: Tulsa, OK
Type: Contract
Compensation: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Work Model: Onsite
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Responsibilities
Review patient charts, records, and supporting documentation for completeness and accuracy
Assign accurate medical codes for hospital surgeries and Interventional Radiology services
Ensure all coding is current, active, and compliant with applicable regulations
Identify and report missing, incomplete, or insufficient documentation
Perform accurate charge entry and coding updates
Apply appropriate modifiers and ensure correct coding of provider documentation
Follow federal, state, payer, and commercial coding guidelines
Maintain confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations
Collaborate with team members to resolve coding discrepancies as needed
Requirements
Medical Coding Certification required CPC (Certified Professional Coder) through AAPC required
Minimum of 2 years of medical coding experience
Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and coding regulations
Experience with hospital surgery coding and/or Interventional Radiology coding preferred
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines
