PYA is seeking an experienced Inpatient/Outpatient Facility Coding Auditor to join our nationally recognized Revenue and Compliance Advisory team. As a trusted advisor to leading healthcare organizations, you will apply your expertise in coding, reimbursement, compliance, and documentation to help clients improve revenue integrity and reduce risk.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Perform inpatient and outpatient facility coding audits and reimbursement reviews, including:
- ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, and HCPCS coding validation
- MS-DRG and APC validation
- Charge capture and revenue integrity reviews
- Clinical documentation improvement (CDI) assessments
- Third-party payer compliance evaluations
- Deliver high-quality client reports, recommendations, and presentations
- Manage multiple engagements while maintaining exceptional quality and compliance standards
- Collaborate with PYA's consulting, compliance, and executive teams to deliver comprehensive client solutions
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- CCS, RHIA, RHIT, CIC, or another AHIMA/AAPC coding credential required
- 5+ years of inpatient coding auditing and reimbursement experience, preferably in a hospital, consulting, or professional services environment
- Strong knowledge of coding, billing, reimbursement, and documentation requirements across inpatient and outpatient hospital settings
- Excellent communication, project management, and client relationship skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, client-focused environment
HIGHLY PREFERRED
- Professional fee (profee) coding audit experience
- CPC, CCS-P, or similar professional fee coding credential
- Experience within a healthcare consulting or professional services firm
