Rockville, Maryland Pay From: $25.00 per hour MUST: Experienced Medical Biller 3 plus years of Medical Biller experience Must have experience working within Pediatric, Women's Health, and/or Surgical Must have experience with CPT, ICD-10-CM, modifiers, and claims Must have strong experience working with insurance denials, rejections, and A/R follow up Must have knowledge of commercial insurance DUTIES: Medical Biller will be responsible for but not limited to the following: Prepare, review, and submit accurate, professional insurance claims for timely processing. Verify coding, modifiers, diagnosis codes, and supporting documentation to ensure claim accuracy and compliance. Monitor electronic claim submissions, clearinghouse reports, and claim rejections to identify and resolve processing issues. Post and reconcile insurance payments, contractual adjustments, and denials with accuracy. Investigate and resolve denied, rejected, and underpaid claims to maximize reimbursement. Perform insurance follow-up on outstanding accounts receivable to ensure timely payment. Research payer policies, reimbursement guidelines, and claim processing requirements to support accurate billing. Prepare and submit corrected claims, reconsiderations, and appeals as needed. Analyze denial and reimbursement trends and recommend process improvements to reduce recurring issues. Review patient accounts and assist with account balance resolution when appropriate. Communicate professionally with insurance representatives, patients, providers, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams. Collaborate with clinical, front-office, and administrative staff to resolve billing, coding, and documentation concerns.
