Under general supervision, the coder performs in-depth complex daily CPT, HCPC and ICD10 coding of inpatient, outpatient and clinical charge documents received from physicians for Anesthesiology, Pain Management and Critical Care procedures. The coder is responsible to accurately interpret notes/diagnoses and to convert them into CPT/HCPC/ICD10 codes as appropriate in order to fully capture all billable services.

Minimum Qualifications

• Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS).
• Must have three (3) years of coding experience (Anesthesia coding).
• Strong skills in CPT, ICD-10-CM, & HCPCS professional coding applications.

Preferred Qualifications

• Anesthesia, Pain Management and Critical Care Coding experience.
• Toxicology / Wound Care experience.
• CANPC certification.
• Experience with Epic.

Annual Full Pay Range: $78,175 - $103,105 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent: $37.44 - $49.38
