Data Collector/Coder The Nebraska Center for Research on Children, Youth, Families & Schools is an interdisciplinary research center in the College of Education and Human Sciences at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. Our mission is to make a positive difference in people's lives through research in the social, behavioral and educational sciences. A full-time, 10-month (August-May) Data Collector/Coder position is needed to assist with research data collection for the Healthy Children, Healthy Communities project. The mission for our lab is to empower childcare programs to implement evidence based on best practices in the childcare setting. Our current research priorities include improving children's health, nutrition, and wellness.
Responsibilities include:
On-site coding and digital data collection.
Driving to school sites to set up video assessments and collect completed packets of measures and other data forms from research participants.
Training will be provided for the successful candidate. Position requires occasional overnight travel. Criminal history background check and tuberculosis (TB) test required.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in nutrition, food science, early childhood, child development, education, psychology or related field, equivalent experience/education considered.
One year of experience administering assessments, coding video or audio records, or entering data into computerized databases.
Ability to work independently with attention to detail.
Excellent interpersonal skills with professionalism and assertiveness.
Valid driver's license and ability to meet University driver eligibility criteria.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience conducting in-classroom behavioral observations.
Data entry and database management knowledge and skills.
Interest in nutrition and/or child development.
