Medical Biller (Full-Time)We are seeking an experienced Medical Biller to join our team in Tucson, Arizona. This role is responsible for managing the full-cycle billing process, with a strong emphasis on Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) billing. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of payer requirements, claims submission, and reimbursement processes specific to surgical services.Key Responsibilities:Prepare, review, and submit accurate claims for services performed in an Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC)Verify patient insurance coverage, benefits, and eligibilityEnsure proper coding is applied in collaboration with coding staff (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS)Follow up on unpaid or denied claims and resolve billing issues in a timely mannerPost payments, adjustments, and reconcile accounts receivableCommunicate with insurance companies regarding claim status, appeals, and discrepanciesMaintain compliance with federal, state, and payer-specific billing regulationsWork closely with clinical, coding, and front-office staff to ensure accurate documentation and billing workflowsQualifications:High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in healthcare administration or related field preferredMinimum of 2+ years of medical billing experience requiredProven experience billing for an Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC)Strong knowledge of insurance guidelines, including Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payersFamiliarity with surgical billing, modifiers, and bundling rulesExperience with electronic billing systems and practice management softwareExcellent attention to detail, organizational, and analytical skillsStrong communication and problem-solving abilitiesWork Environment & Schedule:Full-time position (40 hours per week)On-site or hybrid work options may be available based on organizational needsMonday through Friday, standard business hoursBenefits (may vary by employer):Competitive compensationHealth, dental, and vision insurancePaid time off and holidaysRetirement savings planOpportunities for professional development
