Insight Global is hiring a remote Inpatient Coding Specialists for a healthcare client. In this role, the Inpatient Coding Specialist will be responsible for accurately assigning diagnostic and procedural codes to patient records using ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS coding systems. The position requires a strong understanding of industry standards and coding guidelines to ensure the integrity and precision of all coded data. Key responsibilities include: Reviewing medical records to determine appropriate codes. Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and coding best practices. Collaborating with healthcare providers to support accurate documentation and coding consistency. Coding Experience
Medicare inpatient coding experience
Expert knowledge of diagnosis-related groups (DRGs) Certified Professional Coder or Certified Coding Associate
Associates Degree in Health Information Management
Experience using Clintegrity as the encoder
Experience using EPIC system
