Loyal Source Government Services is looking for 1 full-time Supervisory Inpatient/Outpatient Medical Records Technician (MRT) Coder to provide remote services to the VA Northeast Ohio Healthcare System located in Cleveland, OH. Job Summary: Supervisory Inpatient/Outpatient Medical Records Technician Coders must be efficient, motivated, focuses on patient care with our Veteran population. Supervisory MRT Coders are expected to maintain a high degree of accurate productivity and performance while working with our VA community at the VA Northeast Ohio Healthcare System in Cleveland, OH. Supervisory MRT Coders are required to deliver high-quality, compassionate, and consistent care to individuals. Pay Rate : $42.69/hr Duties Assesses current audit findings and provides education to clinical and coding staff Responsible for supervision, administrative management, and direction of coding staff Evaluating the performance of staff Approving sick and annual leave requests Identifying education or training needs of staff Resolving employee complaints and taking disciplinary actions when needed Collaborate with revenue and compliance standards to support coding accuracy that is consistent with official directives and guidelines for coding and reporting Resolve claim edits referring to coding management Monitor reports of outstanding services Qualifications Must have at least 2 years of continuous professional coding experience in a VA facility Must have 2 years of experience in International Classification of Diseases, Current Procedural Terminology, and Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System Completed the baseline International Classification of Diseases, 10th edition requirements Must have 2 years of training experience in reviewing records in large tertiary care hospitals, and outpatient health care organizations Must have 3 years of education and training experienceOne current coding certification AHIMA AAPC (RHIT, RHIA, CCS, CCS-P,CPC, COC, CIC) Ability to code across all major inpatient, outpatient, and surgical specialties Shifts Monday - Friday: 6:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. local time About Notional Opportunities Notional opportunities are roles in the planning stages and contingent on contract awards.
