We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Billing and Coding Specialist for a full-time, direct-hire position in Mt.Holly, NC, working Monday through Friday on the day shift .This role will be responsible for accurately coding medical records, processing and following up on insurance claims, verifying insurance information, maintaining billing documentation, and supporting timely billing and reimbursement while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and company policies. Responsibilities Review patient records and assign accurate medical codes for diagnoses, procedures, and treatments. Prepare, submit, and follow up on insurance claims, including unpaid or denied claims. Verify patient insurance information and eligibility. Maintain accurate billing records and communicate with insurance companies regarding claims and reimbursements. Assist with payment posting and account reconciliation as needed. Requirements High school diploma or GED required. Previous medical billing and coding experience preferred. Medical Billing and Coding certification preferred. Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding. Strong attention to detail, organization, communication, and computer skills, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently or as part of a team.
