We are seeking a dedicated Data Entry Clerk with a strong experience in medical billing to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring the accurate billing and charting of all medical and lab procedures within our endocrinology, andrology, and embryology lab. Responsibilities:

• Manage all in-house billing processes from start to finish, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Ensure proper billing and charting of all medical and laboratory procedures.
• Handle insurance authorizations and manage claims efficiently.
• Communicate with patients to address billing inquiries and provide assistance.
• Assist with various administrative billing tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

• At least 5 years of experience in medical billing, with consideration for candidates with 3-4 years of strong experience.
• Experience with authorizations and claims management.
• Proficiency with EMR systems such as EPIC, ECW, and Atherna.
• Knowledge of medical and laboratory terminology.
• Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification is preferred but not required.
• Skills in insurance authorization, claims management, and billing.

Work Environment:

The position is based in New York City, with preference for on-site work. However, hybrid or fully remote options are available for the right candidates. The team operates Monday to Friday, with flexible hours such as 8 AM - 4 PM, 9 AM - 5 PM, or 11 AM - 7 PM. The office is located in midtown Manhattan, and the current billing team consists of four members, with plans to expand. Benefits include competitive pay and PTO.

This is a Permanent position based out of New York, NY.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $83200.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
