We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Certified Medical Coding Specialist to join our team. This is a remote position; however, candidates must have the flexibility to work onsite at our Corporate Office in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota as needed. Hourly Range: $22.50 - $28.00, based on years of relevant experience. Responsibilities: Select appropriate service and diagnosis codes to ensure accurate billing and reporting of services performed Collaborate with Voyage Healthcare providers to ensure proper coding and documentation of services rendered Performs internal auditing of coding and documentation according to department guidelines and when requested by provider, Coding Supervisor, and Revenue Cycle Manager Assists Insurance Specialists in answering patient questions via telephone call que regarding coding and reviewing coding and documentation as needed Maintains current knowledge regarding coding and diagnostic procedures Qualifications : Current certification from AHIMA or AAPC Completion of an accredited coding program or equivalent experience required Minimum of three years coding experience in primary care or GYN preferred Strong knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-10, and CPT coding required Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and Microsoft Office products preferred Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and perform a variety of diverse coding tasks Why Join Voyage Healthcare?
