Skill to write legibly and record information accurately as necessary to perform job duties. Associates Degree PreferredPreferred/Desired EducationAssociates DegreePreferred/Desired ExperienceUp to one year prior experience in physician/professional outpatient surgery, and/or emergency department coding.Minimum Required TrainingKnowledge of medical terminology beneficial. ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT, HCPCSMinimum Required Special SkillsBasic skills in verbal and written communication.Minimum Required LicensureCertification in one of the following: Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), Certified Coding Specialist Physician (CCSP), Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA, Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Outpatient Coder (COC/CPCH, Certified Professional Coder Payer).
