Medical Billing Specialist
Medicare North Bethesda MD Pay From: $28 per hour
MUST: The Medicare Billing Specialist must have the following:
- 4+years of healthcare billing and collections experience
- Strong experience with Medicare follow up and using Medicare software
- Revenue cycle experience
- Experience in long term care setting or nursing facility
- Creating Medicare claims and submitting invoices for payment to Medicare
- Reviewing submitted claims in the Medicare system for acceptance
- Assessing past due accounts
- Preparing reports to identify balances that cannot be collected
- Reviewing and researching accounts that have not been paid and processing adjustments
- Monitoring and following up on denials
- Reviewing charges to ensure accuracy and confirming charges are submitted on the invoice
- Entering charges into the A/R system prior claim submissions
The Duties of the Medical Billing Specialist include but are not limited to the following:
- Work within Medicare Billing System
- Create Medicare claims
- Submit invoices for payment to Medicare
- Review submitted claims in the Medicare system for acceptance
