Position Summary This position is responsible for applying codes in the EHR for all outpatient ancillary type accounts. Code assignment is based on ICD-10-CM Official Guidelines for Coding and Reporting and CPT. Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the Job Assigns ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes and CPT codes (when appropriate) with an accuracy rate of 97% percent or greater. Meets minimum daily productivity standard of 100 ancillary type records. Verifies department added procedure charges when necessary. Applies modifiers when appropriate. Maintains follow up work queues in a timely manner. Works independently in a remote environment. Other duties as assigned. *Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. In addition to base pay, there may be additional compensation available for this role, including but not limited to, shift differentials, extra shift incentives, and bonus opportunities. Qualifications

Minimum Requirements Qualifications/Work Experience: Minimum 1 year ICD-10-CM/CPT coding experience in an acute care hospital OR successful completion of an accredited coding program Education/Licensure/Certification: One of the following credentials required AHIMA : CCS//RHIT/RHIA or AAPC : COC
