This position reports directly to the Assistant Revenue Cycle Manager.ResponsibilitiesCompletes coding and posting of charges for all provider specialties and payer types utilizing the patient encounter information as directed by physicians and medical records notes.Completes coding and posting for all hospital related visits and surgeries.Have a comprehensive understanding of coding rules and regulations by CMS, AMA, ADA and Medicaid.Conducts coding audits and reports feedback back to clinicians for educational and compliance purposes.RequirementsHigh School DiplomaCertified Professional Coder certification (CPC or CPC-A)Must maintain CEUs for CPC certificationMust reside in IllinoisMust live within a 50-mile radius of Carterville, IllinoisStarting salary - $18-$19.10Full-time employee benefits include:12 vacation days earned in the first year11 paid personal days/holidays per calendar year6 sick days earned per yearRetirement plan with 3% company contribution after becoming eligible in the plan (a matching contribution by the employee is not required to receive this benefit).
