The Louisiana Public Service Commission Auditor Supervisor position requires a high degree of accounting and auditing expertise to perform the most advanced and complex audits and special projects. The Auditor Supervisor's work is performed under the direct supervision of the Audit Manager and is expected to exercise considerable professional judgment in carrying out the work assignment. The PSC Audit Division is responsible for performing internal and external, financial and compliance audits of regulated utility companies (i.e., telecommunications, electric, gas, water, and wastewater) and common carriers (i.e., waste haulers, passenger carriers, non-consensual towing, and household good movers). The incumbent is responsible for the direct supervision of five (5) Auditor 3 positions.
Six years of experience in accounting or auditing; OR Six years of full-time experience in any field plus twenty-four semester hours in one or a combination of the following: accounting, auditing, business, finance, management, economics, quantitative methods, or information systems plus three years of experience in accounting or auditing; OR A bachelor's degree with twenty-four semester hours in one or a combination of the following: accounting, auditing, business, finance, management, economics, quantitative methods, or information systems plus three years of experience in accounting or auditing; OR A bachelor's degree in accounting, auditing, finance, business administration, management, economics, information systems, quantitative methods, or statistics plus three years of experience in accounting or auditing; OR A bachelor's degree plus a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) or Certified Government Audit Professional (CGAP) designation plus three years of experience in accounting or auditing; OR An advanced degree in accounting, auditing, finance, business administration, management, economics, information systems, quantitative methods, or statistics plus two years of experience in accounting or auditing; OR A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license, Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) designation plus one year of experience in accounting or auditing. EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION: Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.
