Whether you need a routine checkup, help managing a chronic condition, or are seeking treatment for an illness or injury – we've got you covered.Position highlights:Conveniently located near public transportationMake a difference for the patients and employees we serveOpportunity to provide career growthPrimary job responsibilities:Provide leadership to medical assistantsSchedule and assign medical assistants to ensure appropriate staffingTrain medical assistants and others and serve as a resource to other clinical providersParticipate in the interview process for medical assistants and other clinical hiresTrain and orient new employeesManage clinic flow using organizational ability to effectively prioritize work tasks to ensure that patients are seen in a timely manner and that clinic needs are metProvide accurate, appropriate, and culturally sensitive education to clinic patientsOversee coordination of care by assisting providers in the maintenance of clinic processes to ensure timely follow-up on reported test resultsPerform related duties as requiredRequirements:Completion of a Medical Assistant course accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) or other recognized regional or national accreditation board OR equivalentMust be Washington State Medical Assistant-Certified or achieve this designation within 6-months of hire. Failure to achieve and/or maintain this designation will result in termination of employmentValid American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider CPR cardAbout UW Medicine Primary Care:UW Medicine Primary Care is a network of clinics located throughout the Puget Sound region.
