Experienced Medical Billing & Insurance Claims Specialist
Busy Pulmonary Physician Practice is seeking an experienced Medical Billing & Insurance Claims Specialist to join our team. This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) with the opportunity to grow into a work-from-home role for the right candidate.
Responsibilities:
- Manage insurance accounts receivable (A/R)
- Investigate and resolve claim denials
- Navigate online insurance portals
- Perform accurate charge entry
- Handle patient billing inquiries professionally and courteously
- Multitask efficiently while maintaining a high level of accuracy
- Collaborate effectively with physicians and office staff
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of medical insurance billing and collections experience
- Strong knowledge of Medicare, commercial insurance plans, ICD-10 coding, and medical billing processes
- Experience with eClinicalWorks Practice Management system preferred
- Pulmonary practice experience is a strong plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to prioritize multiple tasks
- Professional, personable, and dependable
- Team-oriented with a commitment to long-term employment
