About the Facility HAVENWYCK HOSPITAL (a UHS facility) Monday - Friday 8:00am-5:00pm. Havenwyck Hospital is a Joint Commission-accredited and licensed psychiatric hospital, overlooking Lake Galloway in Auburn Hills, Michigan. We specialize in providing comprehensive, compassionate behavioral health services to children, adolescents and adults. Position Summary The Senior Medical Biller performs a variety of duties to accomplish the billing and collection of all patient accounts. Duties and Responsibilities Input insurance information for patient admission. Follow up on all patient accounts/claims in a timely manner. Produces bills for all third-party insurance/patient accounts. Bills Medicare, Medicare Advantage, BCBS and Commercial carriers, providing necessary documentation for the claims to be processed. Input billing data utilizing the hospital’s computer system. Discusses insurance coverage with patients, doctors, and third-party carriers. Bills electronically via Waystar Revenue Cycle Management and Medicare DDE System. Sets up patient payment plans. Performs other duties as assigned/required by this position. Two to three years of accounting office experience in a hospital or health care setting required. Basic computer skills required. Working knowledge of third‑party insurances, billing, and follow‑up procedures, admitting, insurance verification and collections required.
