Mesa Medical Assistant SupervisorAdelante Healthcare Mesa - Mesa, AZ 85201DescriptionThe Medical Assistant Supervisor oversees the daily operations of a clinical site, ensuring efficient and profitable service delivery. This role supervises both clinical and non-clinical support staff, coordinates with providers and departments, and manages patient flow and related systems to maintain a safe, positive environment. If employee is driving during work hours, the employee is required to possess a valid driver's license and must be in compliance with Arizona vehicle insurance requirementsPosition Responsibilities/Essential:Team LeadershipMonitor and evaluate staff performance for quality purposes and maintain appropriate documentationMaintain accurate time and attendance recordsAssure compliance with applicable federal state and local legislation, e.g. FMLA, Workers Compensation, ADA, etc.Recruit, interview, orient, train, and mentor staffOrganize staff's daily work activities and schedules and cover if needed to meet staffing needsIdentify financial status of patients regarding fee scale, insurance or discounts. Refers to eligibility as neededConduct monthly staff meetings including agendas and minutesOversight of scheduling, billing, and scanning of recordsMonitor appointments, patient flow and waiting areas to improve daily productivityEnsure that patients and visitors are treated courteously by all staffDocument and resolve patient complaintsEstablish and maintain effective working relationships and communication with internal and external customersAnticipate the needs of staff and patients and proactively seek solutions or interventionsInitiate coaching and work with manager for corrective action issuesManages quality improvement and safety initiativesSupport and implement organization's goals, objectives, policies, procedures, and systemsMonitor and control health center expenditures, review and approve all orders and maintain supply inventoryStep in to support staff with day to day tasks as needed to ensure proper coverage to meet business and patient care needs.Educates patients regarding services such as the Integrated care model, Patient Portal, and other specialty service lines within our organization and helps them navigate access to these services.OperationsMay assist with monitoring of procedures for attaining clinic productivity and financial standards and goalsAssure daily deposits are made and completion of day sheet reconciliationOversee and review patient receivablesOrder of supplies and minor equipment while maintaining budgetAssist in preparing and approving budget; monitoring and allocating expendituresMonitor and assist with managing and adjusting the strategic plan related to budget, profitability and production matricesAdministrative / ManagementReview correspondence and answer written inquiries relating to the status of site functions.
