Job Summary
We are seeking experienced Medical Billers to join the TeamVision Medical Claims team. In this role, you will be responsible for processing and managing medical insurance claims, resolving claim denials, posting payments, and ensuring timely reimbursement through accurate billing practices. Key Responsibilities
- Review and submit medical claims using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and clearinghouses.
- Monitor rejected claims, make necessary corrections, and resubmit them to insurance carriers.
- Post insurance payments, denials, and adjustments into the EHR system.
- Research unpaid and denied claims and take corrective action for reimbursement.
- Review aging reports and follow up on outstanding claims within filing deadlines.
- Communicate with insurance carriers to resolve claim issues and verify claim status.
- Coordinate patient billing statements and post patient payments.
- Process overpayment refunds to patients and insurance carriers when required.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned practices regarding medical and vision claims.
- Support claim collection efforts and maximize reimbursement.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 3–5 years of medical billing experience.
- Experience with medical billing and coding.
- Knowledge of insurance claim processing, denials, and payment posting.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize work and resolve billing issues efficiently.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting multiple physician practices.
- Experience working with multiple insurance carriers.
- Knowledge of insurance claim requirements and reimbursement processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
