We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Billing Specialist to join our large, multi-specialty physician group. If you have a strong background in medical billing, enjoy solving problems, and are committed to providing excellent support to patients and providers, we'd love to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
- Process and submit insurance claims accurately and timely
- Follow up on unpaid or denied claims
- Post insurance and patient payments
- Verify insurance eligibility and benefits
- Resolve billing inquiries from patients and insurance companies
- Maintain compliance with payer guidelines and HIPAA regulations
- Work collaboratively with providers, clinical staff, and administrative teams
Qualifications:
- Two years of experience in medical billing and collections (physician practice experience preferred)
- Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and practice management software
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional billing or coding certification is a plus
