Responsibilities Supervisory Leadership: Manage staff assignments and guide daily workflow Record System Oversight: Maintain and monitor an integrated health record system for accuracy and compliance Record Processing: File, issue, and transfer medical records in line with confidentiality rules and regulations Quality Review: Examine records for completeness and refer issues to medical staff for correction Report Preparation: Compile periodic statistical reports to support evaluations and reviews Process Improvement: Participate in quality assurance efforts to improve medical records procedures Work Schedule and Additional Information Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday – Friday, with a 30-minute lunch Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at a starting annual salary of $45,907.00 (before taxes) Qualifications Special Requirements You must be in possession of a valid Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) certificate or a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) certificate issued by the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA), or eligibility for certification including completion of an AHIMA approved RHIT or RHIA Health Information Management education program. Post Employment Requirement Employees who meet the necessary special requirement based on the eligibility option for the RHIT or RHIA certification must obtain the certification within 12 months of employment. Other Requirements Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required. PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
