Medical Biller who will manage full-cycle billing and account resolution across diverse payer portfolios. This role is ideal for a detail-driven revenue cycle professional who excels in claims processing, denial management, payer communication, and maintaining strict compliance with HIPAA and PHI standards.
The Medical Biller will oversee assigned accounts, resolve outstanding balances, audit remittances, submit appeals, and support cross-functional billing workflows. - Pay: $30.00-$38.00 per hour (DOE)
- 100% onsite in Sacramento.

Responsibilities - Manage assigned payer portfolios and maintain AR targets.
- Submit electronic claims within required timelines.
- Resolve Collection Queue tasks, including outreach, rebilling, and appeals.
- Review ERAs/EOBs to identify incorrect payments, underpayments, and denials.
- Research and appeal denials using coding and contract guidelines.
- Communicate with payers and patients to resolve outstanding accounts.
- Provide documentation for medical records, COB, and adjudication requests.
- Audit ledgers, reconcile accounts, and prepare financial adjustments.
- Support cross-training, departmental workflows, and business continuity needs.
Skills & Qualifications - Strong knowledge of payer contracts, ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, and billing regulations.
- Proficiency with PM systems, EHRs, clearinghouse portals, and Microsoft Office 365.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strict adherence to HIPAA and PHI confidentiality standards.
- Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
