Compliance Auditor

Job Description

The Compliance Auditor plays a key role in ensuring complex projects are supported by complete, accurate, and audit-ready documentation. This position reviews records submitted by project teams, contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to verify compliance with established regulatory, contractual, and internal requirements. The successful candidate will perform detailed document reviews, identify deficiencies, maintain organized audit-ready files, track corrective actions, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to resolve documentation gaps. This role is ideal for professionals with strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and experience working in documentation, compliance, auditing, or quality‑focused environments. Key Responsibilities Review project documentation, including contracts, invoices, certifications, procurement records, supplier documentation, and supporting compliance records. Validate documentation for completeness, accuracy, consistency, and compliance with established requirements. Maintain organized, audit‑ready files using sound document control and version management practices. Identify documentation deficiencies, communicate required corrections, and track issues through resolution. Maintain review logs, corrective action trackers, and documentation supporting audit readiness. Collaborate with project teams, contractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to resolve documentation issues. Prepare periodic status reports summarizing review progress, outstanding items, and compliance risks. Support internal and external audits by compiling documentation and responding to audit requests. Recommend process improvements that enhance documentation quality and review efficiency. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Three or more years of experience in compliance, auditing, document control, quality assurance, contract administration, procurement, project coordination, or a similar role. Experience maintaining audit‑ready documentation and working with document management systems. Experience supporting construction, infrastructure, manufacturing, engineering, utilities, renewable energy, or other regulated industries is preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft 365 applications, including SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive. Required Skills Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills. Ability to identify documentation gaps, inconsistencies, and compliance issues. Experience organizing and maintaining large volumes of documentation with effective version control. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organizational and time management abilities with the capacity to manage multiple priorities. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross‑functional teams.
