Position SummaryAn upper-upscale downtown hotel is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented, and service-driven Night Audit Supervisor to lead overnight Front Office operations while ensuring the accuracy of the nightly audit process. This leadership role combines luxury guest service, financial accountability, and overnight operational oversight. The Night Audit Supervisor serves as the Manager on Duty during overnight hours, providing leadership to the overnight team, maintaining hotel safety and security, resolving guest concerns, and ensuring all financial transactions are reconciled accurately. The ideal candidate demonstrates exceptional leadership, sound judgment, and a commitment to delivering elevated hospitality experiences while maintaining operational excellence.Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Team SupervisionSupervise, coach, and support all overnight Front Office team members, ensuring exceptional guest service and operational consistency.Serve as the overnight Manager on Duty (MOD), making operational decisions and responding to guest, employee, and facility issues.Conduct shift briefings and communicate important information to overnight associates.Monitor employee performance, provide coaching, and communicate performance concerns to Front Office leadership.Assist in onboarding and training new Night Auditors and Front Desk Agents on hotel standards, systems, and procedures.Ensure proper staffing coverage and assign duties throughout the overnight shift.Promote teamwork, accountability, and adherence to hotel service standards.Guest Experience & Front Desk OperationsProvide a warm, polished arrival and departure experience aligned with upscale hospitality standards.Serve as the overnight ambassador of the hotel, handling guest inquiries, requests, service recovery, and complaints with professionalism and discretion.Anticipate guest needs, ensuring a personalized and seamless stay for VIPs and all guests.Handle guest relocations, room changes, walk situations, and special requests.Maintain a visible leadership presence throughout the hotel, reinforcing a safe, welcoming, and service-focused environment.Resolve guest concerns independently whenever possible while escalating significant issues appropriately.Night Audit & Financial AccuracyOversee and execute the nightly audit process, reconciling all hotel departments including Front Office, Food & Beverage, Retail, Parking, and other revenue centers.Balance and post daily transactions, ensuring complete accuracy across guest folios, ledgers, payment postings, and financial reports.Review cash deposits, credit card settlements, house accounts, city ledger postings, and miscellaneous charges for accuracy.Identify, investigate, and resolve financial discrepancies before closing the business day.Prepare and distribute daily management reports, revenue summaries, occupancy reports, and operational communications.Ensure compliance with all accounting controls, internal audit procedures, and cash handling policies.Operational ExcellenceMonitor hotel operations throughout the overnight shift to ensure uninterrupted guest service.Coordinate closely with Housekeeping, Engineering, Security, and Food & Beverage to address overnight operational needs.Ensure public spaces remain clean, organized, and guest-ready throughout the night.Perform room inspections or public area walkthroughs as assigned.Monitor arrivals, departures, VIP reservations, and special accommodations for the following day.Ensure compliance with all brand standards, hotel policies, and upscale service expectations.Safety & SecurityAct as the primary point of contact during overnight emergencies.Respond appropriately to guest or employee incidents, documenting all occurrences thoroughly.Conduct routine security walks of the property and ensure overnight safety protocols are followed.Coordinate with Security regarding suspicious activity, emergency situations, fire alarms, medical incidents, and facility concerns.Ensure emergency procedures are executed calmly and effectively.Complete detailed MOD logs documenting significant overnight activity.Administrative ResponsibilitiesComplete nightly reports and operational summaries for hotel leadership.Maintain accurate documentation of guest incidents, maintenance concerns, service recoveries, and employee issues.Review arrivals, departures, group activity, and occupancy forecasts.Communicate critical overnight information during shift handoff to the morning management team.Assist with inventory control for Front Office supplies and operational materials.Minimum 2 years of Front Desk or Night Audit experience required.Previous supervisory or leadership experience in hotel operations strongly preferred.Experience in an upper-upscale, luxury, or full-service hotel environment preferred.Strong working knowledge of PMS systems such as Opera, OnQ, or similar platforms.Working knowledge of accounting principles, financial reconciliation, and audit procedures.Strong leadership, decision-making, and conflict resolution skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to work independently while leading a team.Flexibility to work overnight shifts, weekends, holidays, and during emergency situations. #J-18808-Ljbffr
