DESCRIPTION OF WORK This position oversees the development and upkeep of medical records that support health care operations within the institution. It also involves directing staff and helping maintain accurate, organized, and compliant record systems. As a Medical Records Supervisor, you will perform the following duties: Staff Leadership: Supervise and guide staff while setting goals and reviewing work for accuracy Record Oversight: Maintain and monitor integrated health records while ensuring compliance with rules and standards Record Processing: File, issue, and transfer medical records and handle requests including court-related needs Quality Review: Examine records for completeness and coordinate corrections with appropriate medical staff Data Reporting: Prepare statistical reports and organize records for management reviews Process Improvement: Evaluate recordkeeping practices and support quality assurance efforts Interested in learning more? Work Schedule and Additional Information Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Salary:Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $46,827.00 (before taxes). QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY Special Requirements You must be in possession of a valid Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) certificate or a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) certificate issued by the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA), or eligibility for certification including completion of an AHIMA approved RHIT or RHIA Health Information Management education program.
