We are currently seeking a Multistate Medical Biller to join our growing team.

This role is ideal for an experienced healthcare billing professional with strong knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and Managed Care billing processes within the long-term care industry. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess strong organizational skills, and demonstrate the ability to manage complex billing workflows across multiple facilities and payer sources.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Responsible for the timely and accurate billing of all insurance claims, including Medicare, Medicaid, and Managed Care

  • Ensure compliance with insurance contract requirements and federal billing regulations

  • Maintain accurate and complete documentation within PointClickCare (PCC)

  • Collaborate with facility leadership and operational teams to support efficient billing processes and timely issue resolution

  • Submit clean claims promptly to minimize denials and payment delays

  • Perform follow-up activities on submitted claims to ensure proper reimbursement and account resolution

  • Review accounts receivable aging reports and maintain strong collection practices

  • Verify patient information and billing accuracy according to all applicable guidelines and regulations

  • Investigate delinquent accounts and recommend appropriate actions for outstanding balances

  • Communicate with third-party payers to facilitate timely payment processing

  • Maintain organized account documentation including payment adjustments, refunds, and account activity

  • Process insurance and patient refunds, monitor coverage effective/exhaust dates, and correct late charges as needed

  • Provide professional and timely customer service regarding patient account inquiries

Qualifications:

  • Experience with Medicare, Medicaid, and Managed Care billing in a healthcare setting

  • Previous long-term care billing experience strongly preferred

  • Proficiency with PointClickCare (PCC) billing software

  • Strong understanding of collections, account reconciliations, and healthcare billing regulations

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities

  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively across departments
