Clive Behavioral Health is a 100‑inpatient bed stand‑alone mental health hospital. We also offer intensive outpatient programming (IOP) for adolescents aged 13 to 17 and a substance use disorder intensive outpatient program for adults called First Step Recovery. Qualifications Position Summary The Health Information (Coder) participates as an integral member of the records management team by ensuring the quality maintenance of patient information/medical records, within all laws, rules and regulations of federal and state licensing agencies, and TJC standards for the quality of patient care. The Health Information Coder- has the primary responsibility of assigning accurate ICD-10-CM codes upon patient discharge (inpatient and outpatient). Communicates with physicians for any related coding questions. This position will also have Health Information Analyst responsibility for carrying out activities of the Health Information Services Department in the maintenance of all patient medical records. Requirements Licensure/Certifications: RHIT, RHIA or CCS preferred and/or other coder specialist certifications. Education: Graduation from a medical records program preferred; high school graduate or equivalent required. Experience: At least one (1) to 5 years’ inpatient/outpatient coding and healthcare management/medical records experience preferred.
