Medical Biller/Coder - OBGYNThe Women's Healthcare Group is a privately-owned, OBGYN practice located in Overland Park, Kansas. We provide comprehensive female health care for medical conditions both in the inpatient and outpatient setting. We want to add a Full Time Medical Biller/Coder to our team!DUTIES & Responsibilities:Under general supervision, the Medical Biller/Coder will perform a wide variety of insurance, billing and coding functions, such as:Reviewing and interpreting provider patient appointment documentation and applying CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS codes for claims submission.Reviewing and interpreting provider operative notes, outpatient, inpatient, and observation notes and applying CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS codes for claims submissionVerify insurance eligibility and benefits for OBGYN services.Establish payment plans for obstetrical accounts.Collect, post, and manage patient account payments.Review delinquent accounts and call for collection purposes.Performs medical billing audits.Perform insurance inquiries/appeals for non-paid claims/services.Starting wage range:$22-$24.50/hourBenefits include:PTO; Health, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance; 401(K) with contribution; Paid HolidaysEDUCATION & Experience:High School Diploma or Equivalent RequiredCPC CertificationEMR experience preferred1-2 Years of Medical Billing Experience RequiredQUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:Strong organizational skillsStrong multi-tasking and prioritization skillsStrong verbal and written communication skillsHigh attention to details requiredAbility to work independently on assigned tasks as well as accept direction on given assignments.Ability to work collectively with providers and staff.Critical thinking skills.The Women's Healthcare Group is an equal opportunity employer.Drug screening and background check may be required for this position
