Responsibilities Under general supervision in the Health Information Management department, accurately assigns diagnostic codes in a timely manner. Identifies needs for backing‑up various tasks in the department and problem‑solves for HIM staff. During absences, acts as a backup to the Director in various activities. Qualifications Education: High school diploma or GED and equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience: One year of experience in medical record processing; one year of inpatient psych or acute care hospital coding experience (CD‑10 CM and ICD‑10 PCS). Licensure: RHIA, RHIT, CCS, or CPC‑H.
