Position Title: Compliance Auditor - Internal Section - (26141461)
Responsibilities
This position examines and evaluates conformity with state laws, federal regulations, and other compliance components through conducting performance and compliance audits, other engagements, special projects, and investigations. Performs planning, field work, and reports the results to MDT administrators and management. The position is part of the internal section which concentrates on providing MDT with audits designed to add value and improve efficiency and effectiveness of the department’s operations, internal controls, and compliance.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, information technology, or a closely related field.
Compliance Auditor 2.1: One year of experience in audit, compliance, or related field.
Compliance Auditor 2.2: Two years of experience in audit, compliance, or related field, with one year directly related to GAGAS.
Alternative qualifications include: Any combination of additional related work experience and education equivalent to the minimum qualifications.

The successful candidate must pass a name-based background investigation as a condition of employment.
This position may use a training assignment. Employees in training assignments may be paid below the base pay established by the agency pay rules. Conditions of the training assignment will be stated in writing at the time of hire.
Telework Eligibility: Telework Eligible (Full-time telework is not available. Telework schedule must be supervisor approved.)
Salary: $35.07 - $36.45 per hour (Hourly)
