Apex Placement & Consulting is partnering with a respected organization in Troy, MI to find an experienced Executive Medical Biller to join their growing team!

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in complex billing environments, enjoys problem-solving, and takes pride in ensuring accurate reimbursements and claim resolution.

Please note: Applicants without direct Workers’ Compensation AND Auto Insurance billing experience will not be considered.

What you’ll be doing:
  • Prepare, review, and submit Workers’ Compensation and Auto Insurance medical claims
  • Monitor claim status and follow up on unpaid, delayed, or denied claims
  • Review EOBs, payment postings, and account adjustments
  • Handle appeals and resubmissions to maximize reimbursement
  • Coordinate with providers, insurance adjusters, and legal representatives
  • Maintain organized and accurate billing documentation
  • Generate reports related to claims, denials, and collections
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA and industry regulations
  • Utilize EMR/EHR systems for billing and documentation processes
What we’re looking for:
  • 3–5+ years of medical billing experience
  • Strong background in Workers’ Compensation and Auto Insurance claims processing
  • Knowledge of ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT, DRG, and HCPCS coding
  • Experience with medical billing software and EMR/EHR systems
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities independently
  • Experience with lien-based billing and legal documentation is a plus
