The Role
We are seeking an experienced Medical Billing Specialist to join our growing healthcare team. This is a hybrid role based out of our Lehi, UT office, offering a blend of remote flexibility and collaborative in‑office days. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in electronic medical records management within AdvancedMD, exceptional accounts receivable (AR) aging recovery skills, and mastery of the pre‑authorization process.
What You’ll Do
AR Management: Resolve aging accounts receivable, appeal denials, and minimize outstanding balances.
Pre‑Authorization: Secure timely insurance pre‑authorizations for procedures, tests, and specialist visits.
Records Processing: Maintain, audit, and update electronic medical records with strict accuracy.
Patient Billing: Answer billing inquiries, explain benefits, and establish patient payment plans.
What You Need
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of dedicated medical billing and coding experience.
Software Mastery: Hands‑on experience using AdvancedMD EHR and Practice Management software is a must.
Location: Ability to commute to the Lehi, UT office for scheduled in‑office hybrid days.
AR Mastery: Proven track record of reducing AR aging days and successfully overturning denials.
Pre‑Auth Expertise: Verifiable experience navigating complex insurance portals for prior authorizations.
Compliance: Deep understanding of HIPAA regulations, ICD‑10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.
