INPATIENT HOSPITAL CODER Baltimore, MD SINAI CORPORATE HLTH INFORMATION MNG PRN - As Needed - 8:00am-4:30pm Professional 83547 $21.06-$39.12 Experience based Posted: August 16, 2025 Key Responsibilities Following established conventions and guidelines, codes and abstracts the medical records of inpatients. Groups codes to determine diagnosis-related groupings (DRGs-CMS and/or APR). Codes reviews medical records to determine the physicians' diagnosis/procedures for the patient and assigns ICD-10CM/PCS codes to those diagnoses/procedures. Requirements Formal working knowledge; equivalent to an Associate's degree (2 years college); requires knowledge of a specialized field. One (1) - Three (3) years of experience. Certifications - CCS or CCA with 5+ years experience or RHIT or RHIA.
