Shift: 1st Schedule: 8am - 4:30pm Hours per week: 40 Benefits Status: Eligible Department: Health Information Management The Inpatient Coder is responsible for providing accurate diagnostic and procedural codes (ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS and CPT-4 and HCPCS) for billing purposes as well as for collection and retrieval of statistical data. The inpatient coder also ensures coding accuracy, proper DRG assignment and adherence to all federal, state and payer regulations. Beloit Memorial Hospital is seeking an Inpatient Coder to join the Health Information Management team. The coder will assign ICD-10-CM/PCS and CPT-4/HCPCS codes for inpatient, observation, and ambulatory surgery records, ensure proper DRG assignment, and abstract patient information from medical records.
