Understanding You Is Where Healing Begins.
Since 2011, C.S. Counselling & Consulting Services has provided professional mental health support to individuals, couples, children, youth and families. Based in Brampton, Ontario, the practice is led by Coslyn Selby, BSW, RSW, a Registered Social Worker with more than 20 years of professional counselling experience.
C.S. Counselling supports clients experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, relationship difficulties, family conflict, anger, low self-esteem, grief and loss, alcohol-related concerns, life transitions, immigration and newcomer adjustment, fertility and IVF-related emotional concerns, and other mental-health challenges.
Services include Mental Health Counselling, Individual Counselling , Couples and Relationship Counselling, Family Counselling, Children and Youth Counselling, Parent-Teen Support, Alcohol Counselling, Anger Management, Grief Counselling, domestic abuse counselling, Self-Esteem Support, Immigration and Newcomer Support, and psychotherapy through appropriately qualified professionals.
The team includes professionals from social-work, psychotherapy and counselling backgrounds, bringing different qualifications, areas of practice, therapeutic approaches, professional experiences and languages. Depending on therapist availability, multilingual counselling may be available in English, Punjabi, Hindi and Urdu.
Depending on the client’s needs and the professional training of the therapist, counselling may incorporate approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, mindfulness-informed strategies, client-centred approaches and other appropriate therapeutic modalities. Rather than assuming one technique is right for everyone, the team considers the individual’s concerns, experiences, goals and therapist fit when exploring an appropriate direction for counselling.
Clients choose C.S. Counselling because the practice combines professional experience with a personal, human approach to mental health care. With more than a decade of service, a multidisciplinary counselling team and leadership backed by over 20 years of professional experience, C.S. Counselling provides clients with the opportunity to explore different therapists, counselling services and therapeutic approaches.
The practice also places importance on clear professional credentials, appropriate therapist matching, culturally responsive care, multilingual support where available, and flexible in-person and virtual counselling options.
Most importantly, counselling does not begin with assumptions about what is wrong or which therapy technique should be used.
It begins by listening.
Through the C.S. Connected Care Approach, the team considers the person, their experiences, relationships, culture, language, counselling needs, therapist fit and appropriate therapeutic support. The goal is to help clients feel heard, understood, respected and supported throughout the counselling process.
C.S. Counselling provides in-person counselling at 2250 Bovaird Drive E, Suite 408, Brampton, ON L6R 0W3. The practice serves clients from Brampton, Peel Region, the Greater Toronto Area, Halton Region and surrounding communities, with virtual counselling available across Ontario where appropriate.
Online counselling provides additional flexibility for clients when distance, transportation, work schedules, family responsibilities or personal preference make attending the Brampton office more difficult.
C.S. Counselling recognizes that mental health is often connected to more than one part of a person’s life. Relationships, family responsibilities, culture, immigration experiences, work pressures and significant life changes can all influence emotional well-being. Clients are given space to explore whichever parts of their story feel important without assumptions being made about their experiences.
Professional credentials, experience, appropriate training and transparency remain central to the practice, but professional expertise is only part of meaningful counselling.
People also need to feel comfortable enough to speak openly and know that someone is genuinely taking the time to understand them.
You do not need to know which therapist, counselling service or therapy approach you need before reaching out.
Start with a conversation. We’ll start by listening.
