Job Summary Job Title: Medical Coder Location: Remote supporting Mann-Grandstaff Memorial VA Medical Center, 4815 N Assembly St., Spokane, WA 99205 Period of Performance: Base year 07/15/2026 - 07/14/2027, with four one-year option periods through 07/14/2031 Shift Schedule: Contractor may work any hours desired within compliance requirements. Position Description: The Mann-Grandstaff VA Medical Center (VAMC) has a requirement for medical coding of inpatient, outpatient, and observation encounters. The contractor is responsible for providing accurate and complete medical coding services in accordance with VA guidelines, ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, and HCPCS coding standards, and must maintain an overall coding accuracy rate of 95% or above. Accuracy is paramount, and the Coder must maintain strict adherence to VA national policy, local VAMC policy, and applicable federal regulations governing coding of protected health information.
