Responsible for patient billing pertinent to Medicare, Medicaid, Private Insurance, Palliative Care and Self-Pay as well as any documents associated with month-end reporting. Responsible for any documentation or verification associated with such payer sources. Qualifications High School diploma. At least three years of medical billing/Hospice experience preferred. Computer literacy required. Knowledge in FireNote EMRs preferred. Attendance is a condition of employment. Expectations Work collaboratively with other staff members in the department as well as team members of all departments. Demonstrate the ability to be self-motivated in performing their daily job functions. Ability to communicate effectively with payer sources as well as patients and family members regarding billing inquiries.
