Job Description Job Description Duration: 12+ Months Job Description: Accountant-Billing Director of Patient Billing Obtains, reviews, and evaluates financial reimbursement information for patient medical services. Conducts interviews and obtain information from patients, patient's family, and/or Client concerning responsibility for patient care. Complete new admission paperwork. Establish ability and authority of responsible party for payment of patient services rendered including precertification for patients with insurance. Perform follow-up interviews and contacts as needed. Maintain, run reports to review and evaluate patient accounts including posting charges, submitting insurance claims, working denied claims and posting payments into Meditech electronic medical records.
