Specialty Coder - Hospital Overview Responsible for primary diagnosis and complex procedural coding for designated hospital service lines by reviewing detailed physician documentation within the medical record and accurately assigning ICD‑10 and/or CPT codes. Primary coding responsibilities are for Inpatient or Outpatient accounts identified as high priority, including Cardiovascular, Transplant, Invasive GI, Orthopedic Spinal, and Interventional Radiology‑Vascular and Cardiology. Responsibilities Review detailed physician documentation and assign accurate ICD‑10 and/or CPT codes. Handle primary coding for high‑priority inpatient and outpatient accounts.
