Overview The Coding Specialist is a functional member of Central Business Services at SMG. The Specialist is an entry-level coding professional who is responsible for the timely, accurate, and comprehensive review of provider claims to optimize reimbursement and ensure compliance with all regulatory statutes. This position also works with the department to identify trends and educational opportunities for providers to ensure proper coding, documentation, and accuracy of billing within their areas of responsibility/specialty.
