Medical Biller Position at Akumin® Job Description The Medical Biller is responsible for submitting medical claims to government and private payers. Ensures that service date, CPT code, necessary modifiers, patient type (inpatient vs. outpatient, retail vs. wholesale, etc.) contrast injection type and dosage, providing physician, and equipment utilized have been entered correctly into the billing system. Distributes claims into electronic and paper billing queues and transmits patient statements for mailing. Primarily responsible for well-established sites that function as part of a normal workflow.
