Southeast Always the Right Career Direction The nursing unit Supervisor is responsible for the coordination and supervision of patient and unit activity on a designated shift. The Supervisor provides clinical leadership on a specific shift and serves as a role model, resource, and clinical expert for personnel. The Supervisor contributes to nursing and the hospital through the support of the mission, vision, and values, as well as the performance objectives and nursing strategic plan. Employee Engagement Serves as a role model, mentor, and coach for employees. Provides input to the Director and/or Nurse Manager in the interviewing and hiring process of new employees. In conjunction with the Director, Nurse Manager, and staff, completes annual evaluations for assigned personnel and ensures validation of clinical competencies for self and staff within established time constraints.
