Raleigh Orthopaedic Clinic is Wake County’s oldest orthopaedic practice. Our roots in providing orthopaedic medicine to central and eastern North Carolina can be traced back to 1919, when our original founders, Dr. Hugh Thompson, Dr. Walter Hunt, and Dr. Thomas Dameron opened Wake County’s first general surgery practice with a focus in Orthopaedics, and in 1959, these three surgeons named the practice Raleigh Orthopaedic Clinic (ROC).
Today, Raleigh Orthopaedic Clinic has 25 board certified and board eligible orthopaedic surgeons, with advanced training in their respective subspecialties, which include: foot and ankle surgery, hand, wrist and elbow surgery, neck and spine surgery, hip surgery, shoulder surgery, total joint replacement, and sports medicine.
We have six convenient clinic locations in Raleigh, Cary, Garner, Holly Springs, Wakefield and Panther Creek with on-site services, including: MRI, X-ray, physical therapy, casts, braces, splints, and orthotics, and pedorthics.
