Speech Therapist The Speech Therapist assumes primary responsibility for evaluation of the patient, planning, implementing, supervising, reevaluating and changing the treatment program. The therapist maintains adequate records and documents the appropriate progress reports and patient education. The therapist supervises support staff and students as assigned. Education required: Master's Degree from an Accredited Institution in the area of Speech Therapy/Communication Disorders License, certification and/or registration: ASHA Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech Pathology, or eligible to begin CFY with successful completion of nation exam required. Alabama license in Speech Pathology required within 6 months. Must receive BCLS certification within orientation period.
